Carly is a grew sewing teacher. I took a beginning knits and a bra class with her and she made it really clear, easy, and fun!

Carly's sewing skills are impeccable and her teaching methods are easy to follow. She's able to adapt her instructions whether her students are at her level of expertise or have never touched a sewing machine before. What truly sets Carly apart as a teacher though, is her ability to BUILD CONFIDENCE. In my first ever sewing class, she immediately recognized my perfectionism and over thinking tendencies. I was actually afraid to cut into my fabric for fear of "ruining it"! Carly taught me how to silence that inner critic by handing me a pair of scissors and helping me prove to myself that yes, actually, I CAN make a garment I'll be proud to wear. She helped me feel confident and capable in my own abilities, and I've taken that lesson with me far beyond the sewing studio where we met. I'll never forget how empowered I felt during Carly's class, and I can't wait to learn more from her!
